Free Bilingual Mini Books:Little Red Riding Hood & Alice in Wonderland Zines

Ready to add a sprinkle of excitement to language learning?Today, I’ve got something special for you – free printable one-page zine books featuring classic tales: Little Red Riding Hood (Caperucita Roja) and Alice in Wonderland (Alicia en el país de las maravillas). The best part? It’s an easy DIY project, requiring just my free printable and scissors!

Let me first tell you why I chose these two classics…Caperucita Roja brings me a lot of memories, it was one story I was told as a kid, so I knew I wanted to start with this one. For the second book, I was going to do The Three Little Pigs, because It was one of the two picture books I remember reading as a little girl (yes! I only had access to two, but that’s a story for another time). But my 6-year-old wanted me to do Alice in Wonderland, and of course, since I do everything for them first before sharing with the world, I had to go with her choice.

So here they are! Both tales are thoughtfully presented in English and Spanish to nurture bilingual skills. They are easy to make, easy to read, and portable. You’ll find the download link at the end of this post.

Easy-Fold Guide

Below, I give you a diagram of how to fold your mini zine book after you print it. It’s simple, but might seem confusing at first. Still confused? I got you! Check out this video by the GRASPhopper on how to do it, it’s only 21 seconds long.

I really hope you enjoy reading these free mini bilingual books with your kiddos, as much as my daughter and I did. Happy reading, happy folding, and happy adventures!
